MEMORIAL HEADSTONES SERVICE

O’Flaherty Stone specialises in creating and maintaining bespoke headstones. We use locally sourced granite from Ballyknockan in the Wicklow Mountains. Our team of highly-skilled stonemasons & stonecutters design, create and supply headstones for any size. We are 8th-generation stonemasons and come from a long line of well-known stonemasons. OPTION 1 - BASIC HEADSTONEs

Basic Granite Headstone

From €5,000

Our Basic Granite Headstone service is perfect for someone who has a budget of less than €15,000. We cut, design and instal each granite headstone. Additionally, this service includes sandblasted lettering. Here at O’Flaherty Stone we believe that each loved one deserves a headstone that best represents them. This is why we offer additional complementary services to meet your needs and designs.

OPTION 2 - CUSTOM HEADSTONES

Bespoke Granite Headstone

From €15,000

Give your loved ones the representation they deserve by designing a premium Granite Headstone that best represents them. Our Custom Headstone service offers you the ability to add unique designs, lettering and features that best represent your loved one. This package includes hand-cut lettering. Our team of stone letter masters are highly-skilled and trained by Tom Little. You can be certain that your project is in respectful & trusted hands. High End Style Headstone

From €30,000

Our High-End Headstone service encompasses every aspect of our elite craftmanship. From Hand-Cut lettering to marble plating – we can do it all. An enormous amount of skill and labour goes into each of our High-End Headstones. Using locally sourced Irish Granite, we work closely with you to create a timeless headstone that will last thousands of years. Headstone Maintenance & Cleaning

Over time, the weather and environment can affect the cleanliness of headstones. We maintain and clean headstones throughout the year, leaving the headstone as-good-as-new after each service. You can choose between once or twice-a-year maintenance programs. Our maintenance services ensure that headstones are kept clean and tidy, saving you time while eliminating the stress behind remembering to clean them yourself.

ONCE-OFF

Option 1 (€500 + cemetery fees): simple maintenance, clean headstone, repaint letters, clean surrounds.
Option 2 (€1,200 + cemetery fees): Option A & reset damaged or moved surround, replace damaged or collapsed grave floors and make safe by adding a new structurally sound floor, remove old chippings replace with new and replace flower bedding or bark

ANNUAL

Annual Package (€800 + cemetery fees): once a year regular maintenance ensures safety, clean headstone, repaint letters, clean surrounds and replace flower bedding clay or bark

Bi-ANNUAL

Bi-Annual Package (€950 + cemetery fees): twice a year regular maintenance ensures safety, clean headstone, repaint letters, clean surrounds and replace flower bedding clay or bark

Why is headstone maintenance important?

The primary reason for headstone maintenance is to preserve the aesthetic of the greave. We take the pressure and stress off you so that you never have to worry about inspecting and/or repairing the headstone. Our Headstone Maintenance service keeps the grave site looking neat & tidy throughout the year. Additionally, regular maintenance minimises the risk of problems in the future. By definition, the stone that headstones are made of need to be regularly inspected to ensure that the integrity of the headstone is maintained. We inspect and repair the gravestones so that they remain structurally sound throughout the year. Moreover, regular grave maintenance makes the grave secure and free from any hazards such as exposed tree roots. Above all, regular headstone maintenance is a sign of respect for the loved one. Our team of experts are highly-trained, respectful and treats your loved one’s grave with the up-most respect. Although our loved ones may not be with us, by regularly maintaining graves, we are providing them with the respect they deserve.

What is involved in our Headstone Maintenance services?

Our team of respectful gravestone maintenance technicians clean the graves, replace the gravel chippings, fresh flower planting and bedding clay (on request), repair of the structural floor (if necessary), headstone lettering repainting, tending to any plants and weeds. We treat each grave like they are a loved one of our own, after our service we do a final inspection & can send photos of the final walk around for your peace-of-mind. Whether you are on our regular headstone maintenance round, or you simply want a once-off regular maintenance service, we always provide expert & professional attention.
